Two barrels from the same cooperage were selected to make this wine, which is unfiltered and unfined and therefore cloudy in appearance. It has well integrated aromas of nectarine, lemon meringue, cinnamon and creamy lees. The palate is smooth with all the complex characters showing in abundance but restrained with a piercing minerality from the selected barrels. Stone fruit and toasted oak flavours carry through the long creamy finish. The wine will develop further richness over the next 3 years.
